Horror Research

DYSTOPIA Entertainment works closely with a research group from Aarhus University, led by Ph.D. Mathias Clasen, postdoc Marc Andersen, and associate professor Uffe Schjødt. Every year we collaborate on a new research project, which aims to investigate why and how people seek out and experience horror. The knowledge we gain is used to design even more frightening experiences. Thus, our events are based on the latest research in behavior, psychology, and evolutionary biology and designed for a maximum fear response.
