Monsters versus Corona
WHAT We have produced several short informative videos about the Coronavirus to get people to practice social distancing and staying home. The videos can be downloaded and used freely on all platforms. The videos can be downloaded here. WHY The mission is largely to encourage people to stay home and thereby break the chain of infection. It is primarily a segment of young men of low income who are difficult to reach with the message. Therefore, we are producing a series of short videos with the purpose of reaching this audience. The idea is to use our monsters to make some entertaining but informative videos regarding how you cope with this pandemic. We turn it a bit upside down – where the monsters are the good guys, and the young who does not listen to the guidelines are the bad and dangerous guys. WHO The videos are produced by our event-organization Dystopia Entertainment where we specialize in making horror-based interactive events (we scare people). We have a partnership with a research team from Aarhus University who studies horror psychology and human behavior. It is led by horror-researcher Ph.D. Mathias Clasen. Through this, we have come into contact with professor in political psychology, Michael Bang Petersen, who, among other things, counsel the government on communication strategies to inform the general public on the authorities’ initiatives. This is where the idea of the informative videos arose. LICENSE Read the license rights here.
